Yes check.svg This page documents a policy on K6ka's Wiki
Policies provides a guideline that all editors should normally follow. Changes to it should reflect consensus.

If a rule prevents you from improving K6ka's Wiki, ignore it.

What this means[edit source]

The purpose of this rule is to encourage editors to be bold and help out wherever they see fit. Most content on this wiki can be freely reused and modified by anyone. If you feel that what you're doing is sensible and will benefit the wiki, then do it. Even if it turns out not to be the case, mistakes can always be corrected. Using good judgement is far more important than following rules word for word.

What this does not mean[edit source]

Ignore all rules doesn't mean you can just sabotage all the other rules. Its purpose is to encourage editors to build the wiki as they see fit, rather than constantly worrying about rules and being punished for them. You still cannot vandalize the wiki, or attack other users. If what you're doing is harming the wiki, other users are free to tell you about it. We believe that everyone edits in good faith by default, but if it becomes clear that a user is editing in bad faith and is trying to harm the wiki, then "ignore all rules" permits us to be bold and stop the disruption if we believe it is the best course of action to take in improving or protecting the wiki. "Ignore all rules" is not a get out of jail free card.
